How did you get started?
My current practice is focused on creating drawings and paintings inspired by my favourite horror films. I love horror films, I love drawing and painting; merge the two together and there’s nothing but enjoyment for me. I was fortunate enough to use the extra time during the first UK Coronavirus Lockdown as an opportunity to start up my own online business related to this, selling prints of my artwork. I ended up gaining some traction after promoting my work over social media and after a few months, decided to take the risk and leave my old job as a bartender to focus on my dreams instead.
What do you wish you’d known when you started out?
Know your audience! I could paint the greatest painting of a steam train that had ever been painted, but if I’m not showing it to people that actually like paintings of steam trains, nobody is going to buy it.

What motivates you?
My desire for success.
What tools do you use to promote your business?
All forms of social media. (Facebook, Instagram etc). I have also begun creating a mailing list using tools provided by my website provider, Squarespace. I send leaflets out with orders for my prints encouraging people to follow me on social media so they can keep up to date with what I’m creating.
What’s the best business advice you’ve ever received?
We all have the same 24 hours in a day as everybody else. Dreams are there to be accomplished.
Why do you choose to print with PRINT.WORK?
The first time I ordered a print from PRINT.WORK on their Giraffe Fleck paper, I was blown away by the quality. I knew straight away it was distinctive enough to help make me stand out among my competitors. Other benefits are the fast, reliable service they provide, as well as their great customer service.
